Marcin Lomot,
Director & Founder
Marcin has 20+ years UK financial services experience from a wide spectrum of risk management as well as data and analytics roles. He has worked with Big4 professional services firms, established Tier-1 banks, challenger / mid-tier, new and growing (start-up) banks, with his professional background ranging from consumer finance through SME, commercial and corporate banking to specialised lending.
Passionate about innovative use of technology, data and analytics, Marcin headed the Strategic Portfolio Management analytics team at RBS (currently NatWest) where he successfully delivered a series of projects aimed at optimisation of Risk Weighted Assets (RWA) and regulatory capital requirements. He also launched and led the UK Credit Risk Transformation proposition at Deloitte to help lenders of varying size develop robust risk management frameworks and implement rapid credit decisioning solutions. Marcin then joined a specialist lending project as a Head of Credit Risk, taking the start-up's credit risk management capability from entry into the Authorisation with Restriction (AwR) phase to successfully securing a full UK banking licence.
Marcin founded esmerise to continue partnering with executives and senior stakeholers at banks, building societies as well as non-bank lenders on a journey to develop and optimise their risk management, data & analytics capabilities.
